Youth Activities Liaison Officer (YALO)

The role of the YALO is to help groups of young people get involved with RAF Henlow. Schools, Youth Clubs and Sports Groups should contact the YALO for further information about working with RAF Henlow.

If you are unable to contact the YALO, please do not hesitate to contact the Community Development Officer.

Community Development Officer (CDO)

The CDO works with the Community on Station to deal with the additional pressures of being mobile. The CDO also works to help the Military and outside Community to interact. RAF HENLOW BOWL (10 PIN)

Block bookings £150 for 3 hours, £180 for 4 hours. Members of the public can use the facility on an invitation basis by contacting the Bowl Manager.

HATS

(RAF HENLOW AMATEUR THEATRICAL SOCIETY)

The Henlow Theatre is the home of both the Henlow Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS) and The Henlow Amateur Little Theatre (HALT). The adult group (HATS) meets at the Theatre every Wednesday evening from 8pm, or as required. The junior group (HALT) meets on the same evening from 6:30 to 8pm and caters for ages 10 to 16 years.

New members are most welcome. The Henlow Theatre is available for use by other drama groups for special events. Charges are subject to negotiation.

SIGNALS MUSEUM

ROYAL AUXILIARY AIR FORCE (HENLOW)

The 3 TPS RauxAF is a Police Unit stationed at RAF Henlow that carries out two key roles. Firstly, UK and overseas Air Transport Security and secondly, lines of Communication Policing.

THE AIR TRAINING CORPS (HENLOW)

The 2482 Henlow ATC meet on a Tuesday and Thursday evening between 7:30 and 9:30pm at RAF Henlow and is open to all 13 to 18 year olds.

Note:

Access procedures are controlled by the RAF Police. People wishing to come onto Station will require sponsorship by the group or facility they wish to visit.

Access is gained by reporting to the Guard Room and being issued a temporary ID pass. One-off access will require sponsorship and proof of identify (passport or photo driving license). If you wish to take your vehicle onto Camp you will be required to give the registration number, make, model and colour, so please note these down before going into the Guard Room.

If you will require regular access, the Guard Room will supply you with the Security Clearance paperwork so a background check can be carried out. You will need to have the papers signed by your sponsor.
